Taster Days and Assessments

Reception Class to Year 2 (Pre-Prep)

Children joining Pre-Prep will be invited to spend a day with the current class of the year group they are looking to join. During this visit, staff will assess the level to which children are ready to learn as well as their capability to socialise with the other children. Visiting children are made to feel very welcome and enjoy joining in with the day’s planned activities. Children joining the Reception Class are invited to attend a weekly Carousel afternoon in the Summer Term of the year prior to starting school. The afternoon is spent with the current Reception Class and provides the opportunity for children to become familiar with the staff and school surroundings as well as building confidence to ensure a flying start.

Year 3 to Year 6 (Prep)
