This August, Llandovery College is delighted to offer an exciting range of summer programmes for children and young people from across Carmarthenshire and the surrounding area.
Whether your child is looking to strengthen their academic skills, build confidence, make new friends, or enjoy a fun and engaging summer experience, our programmes provide the perfect opportunity to learn, develop and thrive in a safe, supportive and inspiring environment.
Open to pupils from all local schools, the programmes will be delivered by experienced College staff and will make full use of our outstanding facilities, extensive grounds and specialist learning environments.
English Success School
10–11 August 2026 | Ages 11–15 (Years 7–10)
Our two-day English Success School is designed to develop literacy skills, strengthen communication and build confidence in reading, writing and critical thinking.
Through a range of engaging activities and expert guidance from experienced teachers, pupils will develop essential English skills while exploring new ideas, expressing themselves creatively and gaining greater confidence in their abilities.
The programme will include:
- Reading and comprehension
- Creative and analytical writing
- Literacy development
- Spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG)
- Communication and critical-thinking skills
Time: 9.00am–4.00pm daily
Cost: £200 for the two-day programme

Registering your interest does not commit you to booking a place, but it will help us plan effectively for anticipated demand and ensure we can provide the best possible experience for all participants.
