A student’s passion for their chosen subject brings a thirst for knowledge which blossoms into confidence in their subject. We nurture every student’s individual talents and provide a strong and supportive foundation where they are able to achieve their full potential.
Along with their chosen subjects we also provide other routes to develop students’ minds and thirst for knowledge such as Extended Project Qualifications. These additional options provide UCAS points and also allow students to develop a well-rounded and solid knowledge base as a springboard into their adult life.

With a wide range of A Level subjects to choose from we encourage our students to select subjects that excite them and that they enjoy as well as keeping in mind what career they intend to focus on later in life.
Taking A Levels at Llandovery College provides a pathway into some of the most respected universities in the UK and beyond. The vast majority of our A Level students are offered their first choice of university and we provide all the support and guidance needed and help our students secure their university choice.

BTECs are a vocational qualification which students can then move into higher education or employment. With specialist subject teachers we offer a strong range of subjects to stimulate and enthuse young minds.
At Llandovery College we offer a popular BTEC programme where students access a hands-on approach to learning. BTECs provide a learning environment where students can enjoy and flourish within a supportive and nurturing environment and access their teachers beyond the classroom. Students taking the BTEC pathway can face the future with confidence having learnt about teamwork, organisation and leadership.
BTECs are recognised by universities and, for the students wishing to go on to higher education, we provide all the support and guidance needed to help them secure their university choice. Of those Llandovery College students who choose to go to university, the vast majority are offered their first choice.
