Dr. Robert Brinley Jones

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Robert Brinley Jones, Warden of Llandovery College from 1976 to 1987.

Dr. Brinley Jones was far more than a devoted scholar and teacher — he was a man of deep intellect, quiet authority, and unwavering principle. His leadership was marked by compassion, integrity, and a fierce commitment to the life of the mind and spirit. He nurtured generations of pupils and colleagues alike, guiding them with wisdom, warmth, and vision.

A true Llandoverian in every sense, Dr. Brinley Jones served the College with distinction and heartfelt loyalty. His legacy endures not only in the fabric of the College, but in the countless lives he inspired.
