Llandovery College to Feature on S4C’s Iaith ar Daith with Alun Wyn Jones

We are delighted to announce that Llandovery College will appear on national television this October, as part of the latest series of S4C’s Iaith ar Daith.

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of welcoming back Old Llandoverian and rugby legend Alun Wyn Jones, who returned to the College in May alongside acclaimed Welsh actor Steffan Rhodri. Their visit was filmed as part of the popular programme, which follows well-known Welsh personalities as they reconnect with the Welsh language through a series of meaningful and personal experiences.

During their time on campus, Alun took a nostalgic walk down memory lane, revisiting familiar places from his school days, engaging with current pupils, and reflecting on how his time at Llandovery helped shape both his academic and sporting journey. The episode beautifully captures the spirit of the College and its enduring connection to Welsh culture, language, and rugby heritage.

We are honoured to have been part of this special journey, and we’re excited to share it with our wider community.

The episode will be broadcast on Sunday 12th October at 8pm on S4C.
