A nutritionally balanced diet is vital to young people and good eating habits support healthy growth and development. Llandovery College is proud to be working in partnership with specialist independent schools catering company Holroyd Howe to provide healthy and exciting meals for all College pupils.
Passionate about food and with many awards including Independent School Caterer of the Year 2016, Holroyd Howe provides freshly prepared, nutritious food and their aim is to wow pupils with new ideas and interesting menus. Food is locally sourced, using the finest, fresh seasonal ingredients and beautifully presented.
Llandovery College values the important part good food can play in helping pupils develop, learn, grow and enjoy their school experience and serving creative, fresh and nutritious menus to the pupils is an essential part of the whole educational experience.
All dining is held in the Llandovery College Great Hall, a vibrant and atmospheric space where pupils and staff sit together, eat together and enjoy meals together. This time is used to monitor pupils food intake, table manners and social interaction as preparing a child for success in the future is so much more than lessons and sport. Good manners and social etiquette increase awareness and self-confidence which, we believe, are true lessons for life.
